Bio
While this is his first year acting as Head Coach at the U11 A level, James has been affiliated with the CYGHA for the past 5 years. He began coaching with the Panthers in 2015 with U9 House League, and since then has acquired experience as an assistant coach for teams at the DS, BB and AA levels.
James grew up playing in the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, before playing JR and OUA in both Hockey and Lacrosse.
With his playing days behind him, James remained involved in both sports, acting as a mentor and volunteering at various training camps over the years. With two daughters of his own, it was an easy decision to take his experience and love of sport over to the CYGHA as a coach.
James is hoping that his past experiences as an athlete and coach, his strong organizational skills and most importantly, his commitment to player development will ensure a fun and successful 2021 season for the girls.
James is fortunate to have been surrounded by strong coaches over the years, and this year is no exception. He looks forward to working with Rich and the rest of the coaching staff and hopes that together they can work to help build the girls' confidence on the ice while encouraging hard work and a competitive drive.
Most importantly, however, James looks forward to helping create a fun and positive environment for the girls to play.
