CYGHA HOUSE LEAGUE 2023-2024 SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

 

The House League Skill Development Program aims to support those athletes who wish to further develop their hockey skills over the course of the winter. This season we are pleased to offer the following skill sessions. 

We are excited to have the skill and expertise of Sarah Tracey leading our enhanced skill development program this season. 

Winter Session

Max 25 skaters

U13/U15 Hockey Fundamentals - Mondays - 6 sessions

Cost: $72.00

U9/U11 Hockey Fundamentals - Wednesdays - 8 sessions

Cost: $96.00
Dates:  January 31, February 7, 14, 21, 28, March 6, 20, 27
Time: 4:45pm - 5:45 pm

Program Descriptions

 

U9/U11/U13/U15  Hockey Fundamentals is for players with some hockey or skating experience looking to build on skating, puck control, passing, shooting, and overall hockey sense to complement their play and confidence during their house league games. This is a great opportunity to build on new skills and build relationships with players across the U9/U11/U13/U15 House League program. During these sessions players wear full hockey equipment. Each session is 50minutes in length.

Sarah grew up playing hockey with the Aurora Tigers before joining the Panthers organization early on in her career. She then played with the North York Storm and Willowdale Red Wings before the collegiate level. At the collegiate level, she played NCAA Division III at New England College for four years where she recorded 130 total career points. She was named ECAC East All-Academic Team twice, ECAC Rookie of the Week three times, ECAC East All-Tournament Team, New England College Rookie of the Year, and New England College Most Valuable Player and led the team as Captain her senior year.

 

Sarah graduated from New England College in 2010 with a degree in Education with a concentration in Special Education. She is currently a teacher in York Region and plays in the Panther Women's division. Sarah brings over 30 years of playing experience. She is passionate about empowering young women and girls through the game of hockey to build confidence and create a welcoming environment that is inclusive of all. Sarah believes in the importance of giving back to the game that has given her so much. She is excited to welcome your child onto the ice this season!
