Panther Cub Program – Learn to Play
REGISTRATION WILL OPEN MAY 15th
The Panther Cub Programs are a full season that runs from late-September through March. The program is led by a professional instructor with help from older Panther volunteers.
1. Cubs - Fundamentals
Ages 4 & 5 (birth years 2020 & 2021)
· Fundamentals is an initiation program for girls with limited or no hockey experience.
· The sessions are skills-based and FUN.
· Players wear full hockey equipment. Jerseys and socks are included in the cost of the program.
2. Cubs - U7
Age 6 (birth year 2019)
· Learn To Play is for players with some hockey or skating experience.
· Players learn the skills of the game including skating, puck control, passing, and shooting. Additionally the program will feature a games-based curriculum to complement the skills sessions.
· Players wear full hockey equipment. Jerseys and socks are included in the cost of the program

3. Volunteers: Coaches, Trainers, Convenors
· The Panther Cub Program relies on volunteer Instructors and Trainers.
· Please indicate your interest in volunteering during the registration process.
· We encourage and support female volunteers as strong role models for the players.
· All volunteers require Respect in Sport Activity Leader (an online course) and a Vulnerable Sector Search. Trainers also need a trainer’s certification.
