    The 2022/2023 season will be Mike’s fifth year coaching with the CYGHA. Playing hockey throughout his life, Mike has a passion for the game with fond memories of being dedicated to the game, his teammates, building lifelong friendships, travelling, and most importantly having fun.

    Mike’s goal this season is to support the team as they continue to develop their skills, expand their knowledge of competitive fundamentals, the value of teamwork, and to play in a fun, safe and supportive environment.

    This year will be vital in supporting players to challenge themselves and build confidence as they continue to pursue their passion for hockey through the CYGHA competitive program.

    Laura enters her 3rd year coaching with the Central York Panthers Program, where she was an assistant coach for the Atom AA team in 2019/20.

    She had the pleasure of being the Head Coach for girls at the Novice and Atom levels for a few years prior to joining Central York.

    She is a Development 1 (D1) Certified Coach and is looking forward to an exciting season ahead with the Atom AA team.

    As a young hockey player, she got to experience being part of a team that won the Provincial Championships one year and during her peak years, she played Varsity Hockey at Queen’s University.

    Playing competitive hockey not only allowed her to develop her hockey skills, but also taught her the importance of teamwork, dedication, sportsmanship and resiliency both on and off the ice.

    As a Health and Physical Education teacher and a strong advocate for girl’s hockey, her goal is to be a positive role model and help instil in the girls a true love for the game.

    She believes that all players should be respected as unique individuals and deserve to be given opportunities to achieve success and reach their full potential. 

    She is thrilled to be given the opportunity to help mentor young Panthers on their own journey to become well-rounded athletes!
