Congratulations Cheyenne Deeger
(Nov 12, 2024 Aurora, Ontario) – The Central York Panthers would like to congratulate our very own 2024-25 Jr Panther Cheyenne Degeer on winning GOLD at last week's U18 National Championship.

Cheyenne was selected to be on Team Ontario for the week-long National Championship being held in Quispamsis, New Brunswick from Nov 3-10. Cheyenne was on a very strong Team Ontario Red (Ontario sends two teams, one is Team Blue and other is Team Red) that was able to go through the entire competition without a loss. Eight provincial and regional teams - Alberta, Atlantic, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario Red, Ontario Blue, Quebec, and Saskatchewan - compete for gold and national bragging rights. Cheyenne went through a prolonged process that dates back several years but also included last year when she made Team Ontario but played for Team Ontario Blue. She has proven to be an elite player that belongs on a National stage. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence is second to none. We are very proud to have someone like Cheyenne representing all of Panther Nation at such a prestigious event. Congratulations on winning GOLD Cheyenne!
