The Central York Panthers are thrilled to announce that the following
Panthers have been selected to represent the OWHA U16 High Performance program
in the prestigious Ontario Summer Games, from Aug 1-Aug 4. Annabella Van
Berkel, Abby Brumwell, Elle DeSilva, and Ellie Lewington are very excited to
carry the Panthers colours during the 4 day tournament.
(July 31, 2024 Aurora, Ontario) – The Central York Panthers are thrilled to announce that the following Panthers have been selected to represent the OWHA U16 High Performance program in the prestigious Ontario Summer Games, from Aug 1-Aug 4. Annabella Van Berkel, Abby Brumwell, Elle DeSilva, and Ellie Lewington are very excited to carry the Panthers colours during the 4 day tournament. After going through a year-long evaluation process which included several selection camps in the months of April and May these players have risen to the top in the province of Ontario. The CYGHA couldn’t be happier for these players and all of their teammates/coaches/support staff that contributed to these players showcasing themselves on the highest stage for the U16 age group. We are thrilled to be able to make this announcement for such talented and passionate Panthers! Way to go Annabella, Abby, Elle, and Ellie!
In addition to these players we are also sending our very own U18A Coach Christine Dafoe as one of the Head Coaches for this event. This is a huge honour for any coach to be selected to lead a team at this provincial high performance event. Christine has been working with the OWHA U16 High Performance group for a few years now and is getting a chance to showcase her skill set in a premier role. Congratulations Christine, we will be cheering you on this week!
