Congratulations to all the teams who participated this past weekend at our home Silver Stick tournament.
Gold for U15AA, Silver for U15BB and Silver for U9A!!!
What an exciting tournament!
Thank you to all the amazing volunteers, you made this tournament another success!
Gold for U15AA!!!

The Central York Panthers U15AA team went 6-0 to capture the 2026 Aurora Silver Stick. This was the second tournament win this season after the girls captured the Ottawa Lady Sens Showcase last month.
Silver for U9A!!!

Our U9A Panthers finish the tournament with a SILVER medal!
The girls went undefeated heading into the finals and battled hard against a very strong defensive London Devilettes team. It was a true fight right until the final second — the girls kept pushing — but London ultimately came out on top, 2-1.
While it wasn’t the outcome they were hoping for, these Panthers held their heads high and showed incredible character.
They wrapped up the day with a fun exhibition game with Durham West, surrounded by our Junior Panthers. The girls were welcomed into the Junior dressing room for a pregame chat and even joined them on the ice for warmup and the national anthem — an unforgettable experience and weekend all around!
Silver for U15BB!!

Coming off a championship victory at the 35th annual London Devilettes Tournament the previous weekend, the U15BB Panthers entered their hometown International Silver Stick with strong momentum and high expectations.
The tournament began with a slow start on Friday morning, as the Panthers dropped a 4–1 decision to a strong Ottawa Valley Thunder squad. However, in a season in which they had not suffered consecutive regular-season losses, the team responded with resilience, rebounding with victories over the Halton Hills Twisters (3–2) and the Stratford Aces (3–0) to secure a third-place finish in their pool.
The semifinal matchup brought a familiar challenge, as the Panthers faced Ottawa once again. Trailing 1–0 until midway through the third period, the Panthers equalized to force 3-on-3 overtime. When overtime failed to produce a winner, the game was decided by a shootout. In a dramatic finish, the Panthers’ goaltender turned aside both Ottawa attempts, while the Panthers converted on both of their chances to secure the win and advance to the championship game against the Lucan Irish.
In the final, the Panthers faced a fast and physical Lucan team backstopped by a standout goaltender. While the final score of 3–0, including two last-minute empty-net goals, favored Lucan, it did not accurately reflect the competitiveness and intensity of the game.
While disappointed, the Team is focused on applying the lessons learned as they prepare for the Playdowns and Provincials, with their sights set on turning silver into GOLD.
