three days, capped off with a thrilling shootout in the Starsfest Championship.
Hustle, heart, and teamwork earned this group a well-deserved Silver!

Stouffville, ON - The U11A Central York Panthers kicked off their
season with an outstanding run at the 13th Annual Starsfest Tournament, playing
six hard-fought games over just three days and advancing all the way to the
Championship Game.
In a thrilling gold medal game against the Durham West
Lightning, the Panthers showed grit and determination. Goals from Belle Davis,
Peyton Glaze, Noelle Bianchi, and Grace Milligan kept the score tight, while
goaltender Masyn Gagnon stood tall with 26 saves. The game remained deadlocked
through regulation and 4-on-4 overtime, where the Panthers killed off a key
penalty to force a shootout. Despite their effort, Central York couldn’t solve
the Durham West goalie in the shootout and fell 5–4, with the Lightning winning
1–0 in the tiebreaker.
It was a complete team effort throughout the tournament,
with strong performances from all players and scoring contributions from across
the lineup. Grace Milligan (4), Ella Tsimicalis (3), Noelle Bianchi (3), Belle
Davis (3), Gabby Desrosiers (2), Peyton Glaze (2), Kaylee Han (1), and Heidi
Pilon (1) all found the back of the net over the weekend.
The Panthers displayed hustle, heart, and
teamwork from start to finish, setting the tone for what promises to be an
exciting season.
