OWHA U18 2022-23 Canada Winter Games Selection Camp
Submitted By Steve Dempsey on Tue 08 02, 22
The Central York Panthers would like to congratulate our 2022-23 Jr Panthers Abby Lunney, Mikayla Cranney, Hannah Clarke, Makenna Slocum, Nikki Nayak, Kayla Kondo, and Hailey Maguire on their impressive showing at the recent OWHA U18 Canada Winter Games Selection Camp.

Our Jr Panthers took part in an intense four day Selection Camp from July 14-17 at the Nottawasaga Inn and Resort in Alliston, Ontario. There were a total of 80 players invited to this camp from across the province and Central York was well represented with 7 players in total being invited. Abby Lunney was a returning invitee and had a great camp. For Mikayla, Makenna, Kayla, Nikki, and Hailey it was an amazing experience and they all proved to be more than worthy of the invite. Hailey Maguire’s invite was noteworthy as she is 2006 birth year and she was part of a small group of 2006 players that were invited to this event that was dominated by 2005 birth year players.

We are so proud of how well these Panthers represented our association on this High Performance platform and showed everyone what a great organization the CYGHA truly is!!
