U15 DS Brings Home the Gold!!!
Submitted By J. Hartley on Wed 03 16, 22
The U15 DS team are CHAMPIONS of the 41st Toronto Leaside March Break Madness Tournament.

The girls went undefeated in the 8 team tournament and brought home the Gold medal.

On Friday they had a solid 5 - 1 win over the Barrie Sharks, and then a 7 - 0 win vs. Markham.

Game 3 Saturday they faced a very tough Kitchener team and played a complete team game to win 2-0, and capture first place overall in Round Robin play. Saturday afternoon moving on to the quarter finals the team defeated Leaside 7 - 4.

In The Sunday morning semifinals they faced the North Halton Twisters and rolled on to a 7 - 2 victory to capture a spot in the finals where they wanted nothing more than to face their biggest rivals the Whitby Wolves who they lost to in the finals of the Durham West Bolts and Hearts Tournament 3 weeks earlier.

The girls jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. They played one of the most complete end to end games to seal the deal and capture the gold by a score of 4 - 1.

Way to go!
