“It’s been a dream of mine to play hockey at the University level and I can’t thank the Panthers organization enough in helping me get there. My experience as a Panther has been unforgettable. The friendships I have made with my teammates and coaches over the past two years are ones that I will have forever. I wouldn’t have wanted to end off my minor hockey years with any other organization. I’m so proud to be a Panther!” commented Lauren Schell.

She anchors a strong defensive unit and adds to the team offense with her shot and decisions along the offensive blueline. Her leadership traits have helped to create a team first culture in the Panther dressing room over the past two years.

Mark Digby, Head Coach of the Oswego State University Lakers has been watching Lauren’s progress as a Panther over the past few years and is thrilled that she is joining his program.

Central York’s U22AA Head Coach Steve Dempsey couldn’t be happier. “Lauren was one of my first signings as the Head Coach and I couldn’t be happier. Lauren has been a great addition to our program and joins in on a long line of great Panthers over the years. She has really blossomed in the past two years and has a ton of confidence right now. The rest of the team feeds off that confidence. She knows that she can play with the best and is ready to put in the work to be an impact player for the Lakers.”

Lauren is scheduled to start the 2021/22 season at Oswego State University next fall.
