U9/U11 REP TRYOUT INFORMATION (2022-2023)
Tryouts for the CYGHA U9 & U11 rep teams begin on September 11, 2022. Hockey Canada has clearly defined pathways for both age groups, at rep and recreational levels, including specific requirements and goals for different phases of the season including tryouts. In summary, the tryout process requires that at least four development/skills sessions be offered prior to evaluations/tryouts, and that tryouts do not begin until after the first week of school.
DATES
Pre-tryout development sessions for U9 & U11 will take place September 7-10
Tryouts for both age groups will take place September 11-17
The full tryout schedule, including ice times and locations, will be published soon.
Tryouts for all other Central York Panthers Rep teams are now complete.
REGISTRATION
Players must pre-register for tryouts through RAMP at http://centralyorkgha.rampregistrations.com/
Tryout registration costs $75.
IMPORTANT: The OWHA strongly recommends that everyone eligible is fully vaccinated prior to participation in OWHA sanctioned activities. Any participant who is not fully vaccinated and chooses to register must understand that, if mandatory vaccinations return, they will be no longer eligible to participate.

PERMISSION TO TRYOUT REQUESTS
NOT REQUIRED to attend CYGHA tryouts if the player was registered with the CYGHA last season.
Players who were registered with another women’s hockey association last season must have a Permission to Tryout (PTT) from their previous association before attending CYGHA tryouts. This approved PTT must be provided to the coach at the first tryout.

Approved PTT forms are normally provided within 24 hours of the request.
