Growing up a Panther, Alex was able to progress right through our association until Midget AA, and then went on to play Junior in the PWHL.

All of her hard work paid off and she realized her dream of playing university hockey and played for the York University Lions while earning her degree in Human Resource Management.

Throughout high school and while earning her degree Alex worked as a lead goaltender instructor for McGuire Goaltending, and Top Performance Goaltending. Her experience as a player brings a great deal of knowledge and understanding to the table when working with our Panthers.

Alex has served as the Junior Panthers Goalie Coach, and as the CYGHA’s lead goalie instructor.  Alex likes to work on all facets of the game with her goaltenders, and will be emphasizing skill development, hard work and growth on and off the ice this year.

She herself is a lifelong learner and has been recruited to work at several elite goaltending camps that are led by Hockey Canada U18 and Senior Team goaltending coaches. She closely follows the “Hockey Canada” goalie development program so that her goalies are prepared for Provincial and National team opportunities. 

Like most Canadians, Sean fell in love with the game of hockey at a very young age. He played competitive hockey throughout his childhood into university. He also played Men’s hockey and has been involved in coaching in some capacity for most of his adult life.

In addition to hockey, Sean has vast experience in coaching, leadership training, baseball, boxing, golf and martial arts.  

Sean has been involved with the Panthers organization for a number of years in some capacity. He has coached at the House League, Development Stream, U9A, U11A and U11AA level. He has made great strides in developing an amazing group of young athletes through team culture, consistent messaging, skills development, purposeful repetition, skill proficiency, muscle memory, age appropriate discipline and positive reinforcement.

In addition to their skills development and improved play, he also teaches them the value of hard work, being a good teammate, student and member of the community. He and his coaching staff provide their players with an inclusive team culture and safe environment for them to learn and develop.

Bruce is a certified Development 1 (D1) coach with over 20 years of experience with various levels ranging over development and competitive teams in multiple sports.Within the CYGHA, Bruce has coached over 10 years from BB to AA teams across U11 to U18 age groups. Bruce also serves as the CYGHA Director of Coach and Player Development.  Professionally, Bruce has extensive recruiting experience.  Bruce will focus on player development and confidence concentrating on defensive skills.  Bruce brings knowledge in improving team play, individual skills, hockey sense and mental preparedness.
